Opportunities are available to have your camper year round at the Flambeau Lodge. At your doorstep now are top notch fishing, hunting and endless water and woods adventures.
Your site will have an area for your camper, small yard, picnic table and fire pit. The campground also offers 500 feet of waterfront, private boat landing, bathrooms/shower rooms and kids play area with swings and slides. Horseshoes and bocce are popular games on the grounds.
Fish off the docks, on the flowage out front or take your boat to hundreds of lakes and rivers within an hour drive. State and World record fish have been caught on these waters including a walleye world fly fishing record in 2014 not far upriver. Smallmouth bass, musky and catfish are abundant with walleye, pike and crappie also available.
The Flambeau River State Forest along with many county forests offer hundreds of miles for any type of hunting you may enjoy. Deer, bear, grouse and small game are popular hunted game in this area. We would be happy to help with any questions on hunting in the area and offer some bow hunting guide options.
Beautiful and exciting canoe/kayak trips are available on the Flambeau river. Our location is ideal for the most popular river section and many others. From flat water to class 4 rapids, we can help you find a beautiful trip that meets your excitement expectations.
The area is also set up well for ATV use. Many roads in the area allow ATV use including the road which the property is located on. A very nice hour loop from the Lodge thru the State forest is one of my favorites. Around a half hour north there are trailheads for ATV trails you can ride with hundreds of miles of options.
Hiking, sight seeing, bird watching and just about any outdoor activity also have abundant opportunities in the area. Parks with waterfalls and hiking trails within an hour and unlimited make your own trail exploring in the forests. Spring is amazing for bird watching with the migrations and you would have to see to believe the around 100 hummingbirds that are at the feeders at once during their peak in the summer!
